Cookie Policy

US Tax & Social Security Strategy LLC Effective Date: May 13, 2026 Last Updated: May 13, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work properly, improve user experience, remember preferences, and provide analytics. Similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage are used for related purposes and are treated together with cookies in this Policy.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies we use on https://www.ustaxss.com (the "Site"), why we use them, how long they remain on your device, and your choices regarding them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

We use a limited and focused set of cookies. We do not currently use advertising or third-party marketing cookies on this Site.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to function correctly and securely. They cannot be disabled in our systems. Examples include:

  • XSRF-TOKEN — Cross-Site Request Forgery protection for forms and authenticated actions. Session-based.

  • bSession — Session continuity for visitors interacting with Wix-powered features such as bookings and contact forms. Session-based.

  • fedops.logger.sessionId — Operational logging used by our hosting platform (Wix) for performance monitoring. Session-based.

Without these cookies, parts of the Site such as contact forms, scheduling, and security protections may not function.

2.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve content, navigation, and functionality. They aggregate information anonymously where possible.

  • Wix Analytics — internal analytics provided by our hosting platform. Helps us see which pages are most visited, how visitors arrive at the Site, and where they spend time. Typically expires within 24 months.

2.3 Functional Cookies

These cookies remember preferences such as language and region so you have a smoother experience on subsequent visits.

  • Site language preference — stores your preferred language (English or Portuguese) so the Site displays in your selected language. Typically expires within 12 months.

2.4 Marketing / Targeting Cookies

We do not currently use marketing or targeting cookies on this Site. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and request your prior consent where required by GDPR, LGPD, or other applicable law.

3. Error Monitoring

The Site uses Sentry (sentry.io) for application error monitoring. Sentry helps us detect technical issues and crashes so we can fix them quickly. Sentry does not track marketing or advertising data. Limited diagnostic data (such as browser type and the URL where an error occurred) may be sent to Sentry. See https://sentry.io/privacy/ for Sentry's privacy practices.

4. Cookie Duration

  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser

  • Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or until you delete them

Where a specific duration is listed above, it represents the typical maximum lifespan of that cookie.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options to control cookies:

5.1 Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Detailed instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Site from functioning correctly.

5.2 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no universal standard for how websites should respond to this signal. The Site currently does not respond differently when Do Not Track is enabled, but our overall practice is consistent with respecting user privacy: we do not run marketing trackers.

5.3 GDPR / LGPD Consent

If you visit the Site from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Brazil, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies the first time you visit. You may change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link, or by clearing cookies for the Site in your browser and revisiting.

5.4 CCPA / CPRA — Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is therefore no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" action required from us at this time. If our practices change, this Policy will be updated and an opt-out mechanism will be provided.

6. Third-Party Services

When you book a consultation, view embedded content, or click links to third-party platforms (for example, our hosting platform's payment processor or a YouTube video we may embed), those third parties may set their own cookies. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control those cookies.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. When we make material changes, we update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Site.
